ABOUT US
Giving Back
At Brass Tacks Plumbing, we believe our purpose goes far beyond fixing pipes and water heaters. Plumbing may be what we do, but it’s not who we are. Our business is simply the platform. Our heart is what really sets us apart.
Our Giving Philosophy
“Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Matthew 6:21
Brass Tacks Plumbing was founded on the belief that our work, and our resources, have a greater purpose. Our commitment to giving flows directly from our faith. As stewards of what God has entrusted to us, we strive to use our business as a tool for service, generosity, and impact.

Who We Give To
We want to be transparent. This page isn’t about showcasing ourselves or earning praise. It’s about showing you what we believe matters most and where our priorities lie beyond the job site.
We financially support several missionaries who are actively sharing the Gospel and advancing the Kingdom of God, both locally and around the world. These men and women are doing the work that truly changes lives, and we’re honored to stand behind them.
We don’t just want you to know we give. We want you to know why.

Why We Give
The plumbing industry isn’t known for generosity. That’s exactly why we’ve chosen to be different. Our founder, Carlton Goss, built this company on a desire to do things right, in work and in life. That includes giving back.
Giving is part of our identity because faith is part of our foundation. As stewards of the resources God has entrusted to us, we believe in using them to support His work.

Ministries We Support
Bridge of Blessing — Jerry McCarthy, Ghana
Helping people has always been at the heart of Jerry McCarthy. After 13 years of serving adults battling addiction in Minnesota, God called Jerry and his family back home to Ghana in 2013.
There, he launched Bridge of Blessing — a grassroots ministry that meets real needs with real compassion.
From the busy streets of Accra to forgotten corners of the city, Jerry and his team bring food, hygiene care, and dignity to elderly women who have been left behind. For many, these visits are their only connection to others.
Bridge of Blessing also champions the next generation: helping dropouts return to school, running after‑school tutoring for 35–40 neighborhood kids, and sharing the Gospel weekly with hundreds of junior high students, trade school students, and young athletes at a local soccer academy. Jerry and his brother Leslie bring Bibles, music, mentorship, and hope wherever they go.
In the most personal way, the McCarthys open their home to boys with nowhere else to turn —giving them family, stability, and a future rooted in love and faith.
Today, Jerry pastors Bethel Family Worship Center, a thriving neighborhood church that started in his home and continues to reach dozens of families with the truth of the Gospel.
This is why we give. This is what we believe matters.

New Identity College Ministry — Van & Anna Ferguson, Chattanooga, TN
New Identity College Ministry is a Christ-centered movement intentionally designed for young adults aged 18 to 24. Based in Chattanooga and active on the campus of Chattanooga State Community College, this ministry partners with local churches and reaches students, including college athletes, with the message of Jesus.
Van and Anna’s story began humbly. What started with three students meeting in a closet has grown into a community of over 50 young adults gathering weekly for Bible study, worship, and life-changing fellowship.
This group does more than meet…they serve. They’ve taken their mission to Africa and beyond, showing that the reach of New Identity is both local and global.

Clifford Suddeth, Mary Suddeth & Isaac Suddeth — Panamá
Since August 2016, the Suddeth family has been serving in Panamá with a mission centered on evangelism, discipleship, church planting, leadership training, and mobilizing missionaries throughout Central America.
Their journey began by encouraging and equipping national pastors across Panamá. Over time they responded to a deeper need—planting Iglesia Bautista de Costa Verde in February 2020 in a community where no local church existed, building it into a biblically sound base for outreach. Their vision continues: to establish healthy local churches that send out God‑called workers across Panamá and beyond.
